About The Workbench Guide

The Workbench Guide publishes plain-English reviews of woodworking plans and DIY resources. Our goal is simple: help beginners and hobbyists decide whether a product is worth their money before they buy it.

The site is run by Alex, based in Portugal, who works hands-on in the trades and enjoys DIY projects.

We are independent. We are not the makers or sellers of the products we review, we don't process payments, and we don't provide customer support for those products. Some links on this site are affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure.
